3LAレーベル初のコンピレーションとなる本作は全12バンド、14曲によって構成されているオムニバス作品だ。
収録バンドは、一聴するとそれぞれのスタイルはバラバラで、何の脈絡もないオムニバスに感じるかもしれない。この作品には僕が今までレーベルやディストロとして3LAの活動を行う中で、実際に国内各地で出会ったバンドだけをセレクトし収録している。つまり、僕自身の目と耳で確かめた品質保証済みのバンドたちだ。その中でも近年注目してきた「ネオクラスト」や、「ブラッケンド」と呼ばれる音楽性と共鳴しているバンド、行き過ぎたクロスオーバーや極端な原点回帰の果てにエクストリーム・ミュージックの新たな領域を切り開いてしまったバンド達を集めている。当然各バンドのキャリアも多様で、結成から間もない新人バンドもいれば、シーンで長く活動し、大きな支持を得ているベテランバンドもいる。活動歴も活動する地域も様々だが、既存の完成された音楽だけに満足せず、試行錯誤を重ね、自身が持つ音楽性のその先を追求する姿勢にキャリアは全く関係ない。重要なのは「そのバンドがどんなキャリアを辿ってきたのか」ではなく「今、どんな音を出しているのか」だ。そう、僕は現在進行系の「今」を切り取ってこのオムニバスを作った。ここに集めたバンド達には欧米発のムーブメントとは別の面白さがある。それはメインストリームである欧米のシーンに追従するのではなく、言語や歴史、文化までも異なる遠く離れた極東で、パンク、ハードコア、ブラックメタル、様々な音楽を独自解釈することから生み出される面白さだ。エクストリーム・ミュージックのオルタナティブな可能性を、収録されたバンドの楽曲からも感じ取れる。これは確かに、日本だからこそ生まれた音楽だ。そして、本作にはリスナーの理解を助けるよう、収録バンドへのインタビューも掲載している。彼らがどんな思いで活動しているのか、何を表現しようとしているのか、僕の言葉ではなく、彼らの言葉から知って欲しい。そして、何度も繰り返しこの音源を聞いてみて欲しい。そうすれば、日本国内では孤高とも言える稀有なスタイルのバンド同士であっても、根底にあるものは通じているということがわかると思う。その不思議な共振を感じ取れたら、これはオムニバスに収録されたごく一部のバンドだけに当てはまることではなく、同様に極東のリスナーであるあなたにとっても同じように当てはまることに気づくだろう。その瞬間、音楽はただ音楽であることから姿を変え、脳から全身へと染み込んでいき、血肉となり、また新しい何かを作り出す力となるだろう。この作品が聞いてくれた全ての人にとって、何かのきっかけになることを心から望んでいる。(3LA 水谷)

Brutal and relentless sludge / doom burdened hardcore / powerviolence from Japan. Heavy as hell, tortured sounds that is not averse to slowing things down to add in noise elements that cause utter chaos.
