I should say I barely speak more than a few words of French but there are few bands that have so quickly and meaningfully left me essentially speechless and utterly awestruck. Chalking it up to talent, creativity, song-writing, precision, production... it all wouldn't even begin to do their discography justice. Listen to Daïtro.

We are pleased to announce the release of the complete discography CD of Daitro, one of the most influential bands in the French hardcore scene of the 2000s.
I'm sure many of you have been waiting for this for a long time. We're happy to announce that all the material is finally here, and with the recent re-evaluation of Screamo/Skramz in the 2000s, and the reissue of Daitro's "Laisser Vivre Les Squelettes" and "Y" on LP However, other early works, compilations, and splits with some of the most important bands in the rage scene such as Raein, Ampere, and Sed Non Satiata, are difficult to find, and prices have skyrocketed on the used market. The CD version had not been repressed for more than 10 years and was almost impossible to find in the market. As the title "Complete Discography" suggests, the album contains a total of 40 songs from their early EPs, compilations, splits and two albums. It is not only a revival of Daitro's works as a CD set, but also an opportunity to listen to the evolution of their sound, from the overflowing initial impulse to the ultimate emotional sophistication, changing and evolving with each work. This is the only album where you can enjoy 100% of the transition of their sound from the initial impulse to the ultimate emotion. This is the only album that allows you to fully enjoy the evolution of the band's sound as it changes and evolves with each release.
2000年代フランス激情、いや、この時代の激情ハードコアシーンそのものを代表する存在の1つと言っても過言ではないであろう、Daitroの完全版ディスコグラフィーCDのリリースが決定しました！
ずっと待っていた方も多いと思います。今、全てのマテリアルが揃い遂にリリースを発表することが出来ました。Daitroの『Laisser Vivre Les Squelettes』『Y』の2作品についてはLPでのリイシュー盤がリリースされるなど、近年の2000年代Screamo/Skramz再評価の流れと共に市場に流通されるようになってきてはいるものの、他の初期作品やコンピレーション参加曲、Raein、Ampere、Sed Non Satiataといった激情シーンの最重要バンド達とのスプリット作品などは入手困難となっており、中古市場でも値段が高騰、CD盤に関しては10年以上再プレスがなく市場にほとんど出回らないほどの状況が続いていました。『Complete Discography』というタイトルの通り、収録されるのは初期EP、コンピレーション、スプリット、2枚のアルバムからの全40曲。活動期間2000年〜2012年の中で産み落とされた楽曲たちをCD3枚組という圧倒的ボリュームと共に彼らの軌跡を辿る本作は、CD盤としてDaitroの作品を蘇らせるというだけでなく、溢れ出す初期衝動から洗練を極めた究極のエモーショナルへ、作品毎に変化/進化していく彼らのサウンドの変遷を100%楽しむことの出来る唯一の作品となります。また歌詞については、2000年代当時Oto Recordsからリリースされた日本盤CDとは異なる新訳での再構成を行い、その日本語翻訳テキストは特製紙ブックレットに掲載されます。3枚のCD、特製紙ブックレットを封入したボックス仕様で限定300セット、定価4950円、2021年4月23日のリリースとなります。

Daitro is something special.
Raein, Ampere, Funeral Diner, killie in Japan, heaven in her arms. A network and community that lived and breathed in the corners of the DIY punk scene in the 2000's. At that time in the 2000's, I was fascinated by them and their music. What was that time? What was it like back then? What was the heat of that time? Is this feeling just nostalgia? I once felt that the passing of the 2000s was like a blank period of time. Compared to the 1990s, which is well documented in history, the 2000s, with the decline of print media and the disappearance of media, is poorly documented in print media and on the Internet, and I felt that if someone didn't talk about it, it would be forgotten. I wondered if it would slowly fade away from my memory. Daitro is also in the middle of it. I don't think it's just a hype, I feel that the 2000's rage bands never really stood out on the stage, not only in the music scene, but also in the punk scene. I feel like I've never really stood out on the stage. In fact, some of my favorite bands, the ones I feel are special, have been like that. "What am I? The answer to this question can only be found within yourself. They have faced many questions that have no right answer, and their expression has been a trial and error process, and each of them has their own answer, and they seem to respect each other. In a sense, I am naturally convinced that the expressions created in a different straggle from the one we have today, where we are too caught up in collectiveness and correctness, are being reevaluated in this day and age.

Daitroは特別な存在だ。
RaeinやAmpere、Funeral Diner、日本でいうならkillie、heaven in her arms。2000年代のDIYパンクシーンの隅で息づいていたネットワーク、コミュニティ。2000年代のあの当時、僕は彼らに魅せられ、彼らの音楽に夢中になっていた。あの時代は一体なんだったのだろう。あの当時の熱量は。この気持ちはただのノスタルジーなのだろうか。僕は過ぎ去った2000年代という時代を、空白の時代のようにも感じていたことがある。歴史にしっかり記録されている1990年代に比べ、紙媒体が衰退しメディアも消えていった2000年代とは、紙媒体にも、そしてインターネット上にも記録が乏しい、誰かが語らなければなかったことになってしまいそうに感じていた。このままゆっくりと記憶から消えていってしまうのだろうかと。だが、時が巡りアナログのレコードがムーブメントとして復活し、そして全く予想だにしていなかったことだが、2010年代の終わり頃から2000年代の激情の名盤達が次々とレコードで復活し再評価される時代へと変わっていった。Daitroもまたその渦中にある。僕はその流れをただのハイプだとは思わない。2000年代の激情バンドたちは、音楽シーンのみならず、パンクシーンの中でも決して表舞台に目立つことはなかったと感じているし、ずっと端のほうで、数々のムーブメントを横目に、それでも自分を見つめてきた人達のように思っている。実際に僕の好きなバンドたち、特別だと感じるバンド達はそうだった。「自分とは何なのか？」その答えは自分の中にしかない。正解のない数々の問いと向き合ってきた彼らの表現には、試行錯誤があり、それぞれがそれぞれの答えを持ち、そしてお互いにそれらを尊重していたようにみえる。コレクトネス、正しいということに捉われ過ぎた現代とは異なるストラグルの中で編み出された表現が、いまの時代に再評価を迎えることに僕はある意味で当然のように納得してしまうのだ。
そして、今Daitroを再発できるのなら、僕はやるべきことをやらなくちゃいけない。1つはすべての音源をひとつの場所にまとめること。彼らの表現の試行錯誤、作品毎に出しているサウンドの進化の変遷、それらを伝えなければ意味がない。そしてもう1つは彼らの歌詞だ。2000年代当時Oto Recordsからリリースされた日本盤の歌詞は格式高く、難解さもある。当時はそれらの要素もまた彼らの音楽を伝える上で必要だったと思う。だが本作をリリースする意義は当時とは違う。オリジナル詞に忠実に、かつわかりやすい表現にて再構成された歌詞群にもまた注目してもらいたい。当時よりもより明確に、彼らの歌詞が伝えようとしていたことを感じる事ができるはずだ。
そして最後の1つは、レーベルとしては初の試みとなるが、この作品に返金保証をつけることだ。これはレーベルから卸して流通するすべてのレコード店に強制することは出来ないので、3LA直販で購入してくれる方だけの対応となってしまうのだが、もしこの作品を購入して、Daitroの表現、魅力がまったく良さがわからなかったというなら、音源を返品してくれて構わない。その時は4950円を返金を保証します。この作品は高い。4950円という値段はこれまでリリースしてきたCDの中でももっとも高価なものになる。CD3枚組、特製紙ブックレット封入、ボックス仕様、もちろん制作の原価も高い。だけど僕はこれらがすべてDaitroの魅力を届けるために必要なことだと思っている。だからもしそれが伝えられなかったというなら、その責任は僕が取る。なので、もし値段で迷うことがあれば安心して購入してください。絶対に損はさせない内容だと自信を持ってこの作品を送り出したいと思います。Daitroの表現していた全てを、是非味わって欲しいと思います。
