It has already been half a century since humanity began immigrating its overgrown population into space. Hundreds of huge space colonies have floated around the earth, and people have made the inner walls of these cylinders into a populated land. In this second home of humanity, people gave birth to their children, raised them, and then died. In space century 0079, Side 3, the most distant space city from Earth, called itself the Principality of Zeon and challenged the Earth Federation government to a war of independence. In just over a month of fighting, the Principality of Zeon and the Federation forces had killed half of the total population. The people were horrified by their actions. The war had reached a stalemate, and eight months had passed. This is the time for the release of Screamo, a band under the influence of Yoshiyuki Tomino, whose name is . ...AND ITS NAME WAS EPYON's 10" limited edition of 100 copies worldwide is finally here!

But they're not playing around, and they're not messing around. The disenfranchisement, heartbreak, and disappointment that many people in America face today are all treated as simple facts of life, but how painful they are to be around can never be understated. As he said in an interview, "The sadness of loss haunts their expressions. They define Gundam as "a struggle against senseless imperialist war and exploitation," and use the music of Screamo to contrast with the problems we face in reality. The world's culture cannot catch up with the real OTAKU. There is no need to catch up. Screamo was born from a place where no one pays attention, and has created its own value.
The release is in conjunction with Zegema Beach and Larry Records, but the federal side is already sold out and only available from 3LA. Original lyrics, Japanese translation and numbering included.

人類が増えすぎた人口を宇宙に移民させるようになって、既に半世紀。地球の周りには巨大なスペース・コロニーが数百基浮かび、人々はその円筒の内壁を人口の大地とした。その人類の第二の故郷で、人々は子を産み、育て、そして死んでいった。宇宙世紀0079、地球から最も遠い宇宙都市サイド3はジオン公国を名乗り、地球連邦政府に独立戦争を挑んできた。この一ヶ月あまりの戦いで、ジオン公国と連邦軍は総人口の半分を死に至らしめた。人々は自らの行為に恐怖した。戦争は膠着状態に入り、8ヶ月あまりが過ぎた。このタイミングでリリースされる富野由悠季影響下にあるScreamoバンド、その名も...AND ITS NAME WAS EPYONの全世界100枚限定10インチが遂に登場!

だが断じて彼らはお遊びじゃないし、ふざけてなどいない。「今日のアメリカの多くの人々が直面している権利の剥奪、心の傷、失望は、すべて人生の単純な事実として扱われているが、それらが存在することがどれほど辛いものであるかは決して控えめに表現してはならない。」とインタビューで語っているように、彼らの表現には喪失の悲しみがつきまとう。ガンダム劇中でも多くの差別や喪失や試練が襲いかかるものだが、彼らはガンダム作品を「無意味な帝国主義の戦争や搾取との闘い」であると定義し、そして現実で我々が直面している問題とのコントラストをこのScreamoという音楽で表現していく。本当のOTAKUには世界のカルチャーは追いつけない。追いつく必要もない。くだらない音楽だと切り捨ててしまってかまわない。Screamoは誰も目を向けないような場所から生まれて自分たちで価値を作りだしてきたのだから。
リリースはZegema Beach,Larry Recordsと共同ですが連邦サイドは既にソールドアウト、3LAからのみ購入可能です。オリジナル歌詞、日本語翻訳、ナンバリング付き。リリース日は2021年7月2日となります。
