NØ MAN, formed by Maha Shami and the three members of Majority Rule, one of the leading figures of US rage along with pg.99, will release a discography CD containing their 2020 album "ERASE" and 2018 album "DEVILS CAST LONG SHADOWS". It will be released from 3LA.

It happened that pg.99 and Majority Rule, two bands representing the US chaotic Emo/Screamo in the late 90's and 2000's, reunited and did a benefit tour in 2017. Shortly after that tour, the three Majority Rule members (Matthew Michel, Kevin Lamiell, Pat Broderick) were joined by vocalist Maha Shami to form NØ MAN. Maha Shami was a guest vocalist on the song "Packaded Poison" on pg.99's 2002 split with Majority Rule, Document #12, and that may have been the beginning of things, but anyway, they started recording right after the tour and released Devils Cast Long Shadows in 2018 on their own label. Long Shadows" was released on their own label in 2018. It wasn't a lot, only 500 copies, but it was distributed by Dischord, and there was some buzz about it.

More importantly, however, was the release of "ERASE" in 2020. Since the last album, the band has toured with Portrayal of Guilt (Maha Shami guest vocals on 2018's "Let Pain Be Your Guide"), Darkest Hour, The Hirs Collective, and others. Not only in the context of US-Screamo, but also in the melodic melancholy that they sometimes play, and in the expression of the dull and gloomy chaotic hardcore, everything has become full throttle and vicious, and it has become a symbolic work where the band's creativity has been released. The sound production, which recreates an overwhelming sense of the realism of a live performance, shows the band's ever-growing momentum. It's not just a beautiful sound, it's dirty, but it also has an emotive expression that tries to touch the darkest parts of your heart. This album has the thick chaos that bands like Majority Rule, pg.99, City Of Caterpillar, and Funeral Diner had in the past, and has created a sound that is truly worthy of being called furious hardcore.

This CD contains two albums as a discography CD, but the order of the songs is not chronological, but the order of the albums "ERASE" (2020) and "DEVILS CAST LONG SHADOWS" (2018). In addition, because it is necessary to convey Maha Shami's point of view as a woman with roots in Palestine, which is also an important element, Y.Koyanagi, who has translated many works for 3LA, was in charge of the translation again this time." The booklet contains 34 pages of her lyrics, which will convince you that the expression "shouting" is inevitable. The booklet was designed by Mario of Khmer/Svdestada, who counts NØ MAN as one of his favorite bands.

While many Screamo records are still being released in 2021, the depth and breadth of NØ MAN's punk/hardcore expression is real. Please enjoy this work that conveys them to the fullest.
